The start-up from the East
The blossoming Tea Shape bulbs were brought by Shmulik Sivan, a former hi-tech professional that discovered them by pure chance. Going on one of his many business trips to China, Shmulik was asked by a friend to look for an exotic tea bulb that unfurls to a flower. Sivan went on his business trip, and asked his colleagues in Fujian about the mysterious tea. They had not a clue, neither did Sivan. He started asking around and after considerable amount of effort, was turned to a local tea house. There he was handed two dry bulbs. He received the dry bulbs with respect, and amount of skepticism, and returned to Israel. After presenting the gift, he decided to check the mystery by himself. Shmulik took a glass out of a cabinet, put the bulb in, poured hot water, and was amazed by the sight of exotic blossom in his own kitchen. On the following trip to China, Sivan bought a whole box of bulbs. Back in Israel he sold the wonder to his co-workers and friends. Seeing their enthusiasm and joy, he decided to distribute the blossoming tea, and founded Tea Shape Company in Israel with cooperation of two investors. Today Tea Shape is internationally successful, participating in exhibitions around the globe, and distributing to hundreds of selling points. Tea Shape products are especially popular in restaurants, coffee shops, hotels, spa centers and catering companies. "Exotic tea bulbs bring pleasure to the process of brewing and serving, while enjoying the delightful taste and the health benefits of green tea", says Shmulik Sivan. "More than one customer told me that flower unraveling, reminded them of National Geographic nature photos. With Tea Shape bulbs, the blossoming process takes just a few moments, and you don't have to travel far away to enjoy the sight each day over again."
